The story
Born in our Tunisian family's kitchen, made the way our grandmother taught us. Five honest ingredients: 100% heirloom baklouti chili smoked over olive wood, the finest Tunisian extra virgin olive oil, garlic, spices and salt. A process that has never changed.
Our signature smoky flavour is what makes our authentic Tunisian harissa truly different. Our 100% baklouti chili is smoked for over 12 hours over olive wood using the traditional artisanal method, carried out by local farmers and artisans the same sustainable way it has been done for generations. This process creates a depth of smokiness, umami and flavour complexity that will transport you on a South Mediterranean culinary heritage journey at the very first taste. The unmistakeable smoky aroma that greets you as you open our Harissa jar is your welcome into the heart of every Tunisian kitchen.

Good questions
Short answer: yes. Harissa is a North African chili paste, and ours is unapologetically spicy — made from 100% Baklouti chili, a properly hot Tunisian pepper. But it's not heat for heat's sake: twelve hours of olive-wood smoke give it depth, so you taste smoke and fruit before the fire catches up.
Harissa is the cornerstone chili paste of Tunisian cooking — chilies pounded with spices and olive oil. Ours is a smoked version: Cap Bon Baklouti peppers, caraway, coriander and garlic, sealed with single-origin Chemlali olive oil.
Most harissa is raw chili paste. We smoke every Baklouti chili over olive wood for more than twelve hours, the traditional Tunisian way, before it's hand-pounded. That's where the smokiness and the deep, rounded heat come from — you can't fake it with paprika.
Just Baklouti chili, caraway, coriander, garlic, Chemlali olive oil and salt — that's the whole list. It's entirely plant-based, with no additives, no preservatives and no gluten ingredients. What's on the label is what's in the 190 g jar, nothing more.

Anywhere you'd want smoke and heat. Stir it into shakshuka, rub it on lamb before the grill, toss roasted carrots in it, or just slather it on good bread. Start with a teaspoon — it's concentrated.
